Book Review: "The Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart Autobiography

- From Seth in Essexville, MI: I just got done reading Jimmy "Mouth of The South" Hart's self written biography that was published in 2004. It was 168 pages and a very easy read. I hate to start this review of negatively but most the content that's in the book. You probably already heard him cover in interviews on TV and in wrestling magazines. There was no real big bombshells, hardly any negative writing. However, if your interested about his career with the Gentry's music group before he got started in wrestling, it's a must read. About 1/3 of the book is about his epic feud with Jerry Lawler in Memphis Wrestling. Some funny stories there. He talks about his early days as a manager and lots of "road travel" experiences. I thought he would have something to say about the demise of WCW but nothing really explosive. Basically, if your a fan of the Gentry's and Hart/Lawler feud.
