Candice Michelle's Adult Film on DVD!

A Response to Evan Bourne's Original VS Current ECW Remarks

Submitted By James Walsh on 06/06/09
I understand the brand loyalty and saying what the company might like to hear. But even so, at the end of the day you'll have to look yourself in the mirror and ask if everything you said and everything you did was completely full of shit. This remark was completely full of shit.

I have tried to reduce my swearing drastically because swearing simply indicates to most that you don't have a vocabulary to draw from and stick to the simple words. But, I think the above swearing is not excess and simply states the facts better than any larger word could.

The original ECW was a small company that grew. It was fed by young wrestlers getting their foot in the door and veterans looking for another shot at the dance. Everyone was hungry. And, that hunger manifested itself into a company that became where people wanted to be instead of just a launching pad to get somewhere else. It had everything a wrestling fan could want. You had fantastic technical wrestling, fantastic high fly, fantastic hardcore, fantastic tag teams, women that would keep you up late at night tossing and turning in your Star Wars sheets, and a fan base that seemed to be the glue that brought it all together.

The only thing that the ECW that took place in a bingo hall and aired on late night MSG TV and the Tuesday night show on Sci-Fi is the call letters and the concept that people there are there to get somewhere else. This version of ECW is a direct extension of the WWE and that fact isn't even hidden. Even Tommy Dreamer's ECW logo T shirt that he wore on Tuesday had the WWE logo above it. This version of ECW is simply a WWE TV show called ECW. The original ECW was its own promotion.

I won't rag on today's ECW. If it was called anything other than ECW, it would probably be accepted as a pretty cool wrestling show... After all, haven't most of us been asking for a brand where they actually wrestle? But, when it comes to the magic and excitement of the original ECW... It isn't even on the same planet and therefore shouldn't share the same letters.
