The Rant: If You Missed Jericho/Morrison on Superstars, You Missed Out

It seems to me that we are being hypocritical as wrestling fans on the Internet. On one hand, we keep yelping like injured wildlife that we demand more shows that focus on the in ring action. And then, when we are given it, we either still find fault with it or don't take the time to watch it. This goes back to my fundamental reason for believing the WWE and any sensible organization would not listen to the Internet Wrestling Community... The IWC's motto should be, "We know what we want... Anything other than what we're given!" Superstars is a show that really has proven to deliver solid wrestling action with a mixture of everything. I have become a big fan of what this show brings to the table... If you watched it, you would too! While I'll probably be short-changing the rest of the show as Ryder and Bourne, who is a putz for what he said about the original ECW, put on a hell of a match and Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendez taking on the extremely fortunate to be employed Bella Twins was passable but nothing special through no fault to the forward mentioned team: the show stealer had to be the match I think every contributor of the The Interactive Interview live broadcast has been salivating at the mouth for. We got Chris Jericho and John Morrison! This match was truly spectacular. It is amazing what can happen when you get two guys in there that can go both in the air and on the mat and have enough charisma and signature moves to where the faced paced action could, at any moment, result in the end of the match. There were a ton of false finishes in this one. And, while Jericho got the win over his younger counterpart, people left that match thinking just what the announcers put over (kudos to Jim Ross and Todd Grisham) ... Morrison can hang and has the ability to defeat the Intercontinental champion Chris Jericho! If you didn't see it, check out www.WWE.com as I am sure they will make it available for download online in some fashion. But, if you didn't see it, you missed out. And, you should feel as though you did miss out because it was something pretty special. So, here's the bottom line. Superstars is the show that we have been begging for. Competitive matches that see guys that might not always cross paths doing battle. It is not a throw away show but a show that brings something so necessary to the WWE. It is a breath of fresh air after a reasonably disappointing several weeks of RAW. It is simply a great show that gives the IWC what they said they wanted...
