Mick Foley, wearing a TNA T-shirt, appeared in a vignette during a news piece about a child who was refusing the recite the Pledge of Allegiance on The Daily Show. After it was noted the child refused to pledge until there was equality for gays and lesbians and the child's intelligent responses during a media interview were shown, host Jon Stewart noted that the child needed to be protected. This brought out Mick Foley, billed as the show's "Head Asskicker", who cut a brief promo while Stewart pranced in the background.
