Hulk Hogan says he'd like to make a grand exit from WWE someday, discusses CCW

Hulk Hogan joined the show and immediately starts reminiscing about Rochester, N.Y. (where we broadcast on 1280 AM WHTK from.)

Hulk starts talking about how the new Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Wrestling show came about. He was sitting around with Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey when they came up with the idea. He thinks the show fills a need in the wrestling world. He said with the 'larger than life' characters that this will be a great show.

Hulk is asked about his involvement 'in the ring' in the show He gives us the jest of how the show works.and he said on a few occasions he had to get in the ring to straighten out a few guys who needed an attitude adjustment.

He thinks that of the celebrities on the show that Dustin Diamond and Todd Bridges will shock the people in their portrayal. Hogan is asked about how the contestants dealt with he physical aspect of learning and if anyone let their anger get the best of them. He talks about Dennis Rodman hurting people in the ring and Hulk had to 'straighten' him out. Hogan said Danny Bonaduce got out of control too.

Hulk talks about the casting process and how he was surprised that many people were interested in doing this show. He said everyone was happy with the results of the show and there could be more seasons.

He compares "Hogan Knows Best" versus this show and how it was more in his element to do this new show. He said it wasn't softly scripted like Hogan Knows Best. He said no one has ever explained this business like this show does.

Hulk talks about how this type of show couldn't have been done 20 years ago due to kayfabe. He said the fans are smarter now-a-days and appreciate the business for the art form. Now is the perfect time to take this to another level.

Hulk gives his thoughts on the grand retirement of Ric Flair in WWE. He said it was a great storyline but doesn't think we have seen the last of Ric Flair in the ring. Hulk said someday he'd like to get the grand treatment but he's not ready to retire yet.
