November 4th: Final Battle 2008 weekend just got even BIGGER. Last week we announced that Naomichi Marufuji, Kensuke Sasaki, & Katsuhiko Nakajima would be wrestling in Philadelphia, PA on 12/26 and New York City on 12/27. Should they retain the titles Toronto on 11/8 against the Briscoe Brothers, the belts will be on the line! El Generico was quoted as saying, "Somos campeones de la lucha. ROH officials are looking over the list of potential challengers and word has it that an announcement regarding his opponent will be made soon. - Roderick Strong has a busy month ahead of him here in Ring of Honor. First, he faces Davey Richards this Friday in Montreal. Then, already signed for Dayton on 11/21, he'll oppose Chris Hero in a "Lights Out" match. Now, as we announced yesterday, he'll team with Brent Albright and long time nemesis, Erick Stevens to battle their common enemy, Sweet-n-Sour Incorporated, on 11/22 in Chicago. "Don't get me wrong, bro, it isn't like I am happy to team with Erick", said Strong. "We've beaten and bloodied each other. We've taken each other to levels that we physically haven't been to before. But just like me, and just like Brent, he's been fighting off Sweeney and his goofs for far too long. And more and more, it seems like my list of enemies is a lot longer than my list of friends. And Stevens isn't a friend. He's a necessary evil. I can't fight them all (Sweeney and company) by myself, and even with Albright we're outgunned. I gotta keep my friends close, and with Stevens, my enemies closer. Even side-by-side." - ROH Officials are happy to welcome the impressive Silas Young back to ROH on 11/22 in Chicago. - Davey Richards and Larry Sweeney have no shortage when it comes to arrogance since Davey's return from Japan. "I will destroy anyone that steps in my path", said Richards. "I'll make Roderick Strong wish he'd never crossed me. I will kick Jerry Lynn until he spits up a lung. And in Dayton, I want the biggest and toughest ROH has left to offer. I want the man who originally dared to shun my benefactor Larry Sweeney, and I want to make him suffer. I want you Brent Albright." We'll hopefully have reaction from Albright soon. - Reaction to Rhett Titus and his video where he claims to have "gotten his swagger back" has been nothing short of incredible.
