Big Update on the Status of Mick Foley's Proposed New Sitcom

source: PWInsider.com It is being reported that Mick Foley is shopping around to several networks, including SpikeTV, a new sitcom that would see Foley star as an exaggerated version of himself. In addition to Foley, actor/comedian Joey Kola has been attached to the project playing the role of Barry Blumenthal, who would be Foley's agent on the show, and is a spin-off of Foley's real life agent Barry Bloom. The show is still seeking a female lead to play Foley's wife Nicole, who will be loosely based on Foley's real life wife Collette. The concept of the on-screen marriage will be similar to that of Foley being an average guy who marries a really good looking woman. While no names have been mentioned for the role, there appears to be a role in the works for Christy Canyon, a former adult star, who will play the part of Foley's next door neighbor. Foley has written about his fondness for Canyon in several books, so it appears she will play a recurring, although limited, role on the show.
