ROH owner Cary Silkin explains why he fired booker Gabe Sapolsky, What did he say about Adam Pearce

Ring of Honor owner Cary Silkin granted his first interview since he fired Gabe Sapolsky to Alfonso Castillo of Newsday.com. "A lot of it boiled down to simple business and as a company there needed to be some changes," Silkin said. "Gabe was a very successful booker for most of his run. I think historically, six years-plus as a booker might be a record. And, you know, things just weren’t working. And it was the right time to make a change. It’s pretty much as simple as that. He did a tremendous amount of good things in his time, but it had sort of run its course and the change was important." Silkin was also asked to explain why Adam Pearce was chosen to replace Sapolsky. "At this point, we don’t even discuss who’s booking, or I don’t discuss who’s booking or what’s going on in booking," he continued. "Because it’s not important. What’s important is the bottom line product."
