Hector Garza is expected back in a few weeks, he recently had arthroscopic knee surgery. - Blue Demon Jr. has stated that there have been talks between CMLL and the NWA, which could see the two entities work together. If all goes well, the NWA would allow the Light Heavyweight, Middleweight and Welterweight titles to remain with the CMLL promotion, in exchange for CMLL allowing the champions to defend those titles on NWA promoted shows. - With the Los Perros Del Mal leaving the promotion, CMLL is trying to strengthen up the heel side; Sangre Azteca, Black Warrior and Dragon Rojo are forming a heel trio called El Poder Mexica. - Juventud Guerrera is opening up a wrestling school in Mexico City. The instructors will be his father, Solar, Negro Navarro and Skayde. - Rellik (Jon Hugger) was fired from AAA on December 31st. Hugger had made demands of the promotion, like asking for them to cover an apartment instead of him living out of the hotel. AAA doesn't cover apartments unless they are over and will last. But they agreed, and from there Hugger pushed for a raise, stating that CMLL and Marco Corleone are making offers for him to jump. - Chuck Palumbo worked AAA's Christmas show in Tijuana, and was said to be in good shape and overall worked well in the match. Palumbo teamed with Damian 666 and Konnan (and managed by former porn star Trina Michaels) to defeat De-Generation Mex (Sean Waltman, Rocky Romero and Alex Koslov). - Speaking of Trina Michaels, she is planning to move to Louisville in February, so that she can train at the OVW wrestling School.
