From AWA World-1 South Promoter Jody Peterman:

As many of you know Ronald James Niemi was born in the U.P. of the State of Michigan. Most can tell this by his obnoxious accent. The military brought Ron Niemi to Tampa, Florida and ultimately his family brought him to Savannah Georgia.

From his IPW Hardcore and NWA Florida days Niemi rarely if ever played a role in bringing any Georgia Legends to wrestling shows he was involved with or promoted. Niemi laughed at people like myself for bringing in the old school wrestling legends considering it a waste of money detesting the Southern Wrestling style.

After Niemi moved to Savannah he has consistently complained of being asked questions by old school wrestling fans in the Savannah area if he knew Georgia Legends like Wildfire Tommy Rich and the Gold Boy Chic Donovan.

Niemi was raised on AWA Wrestling from Green Bay Wisconsin. He despised southern wrestling preferring wrestlers like the Crusher, Dick the Bruiser, Nick Bockwinkel, Buddy Rose, Col. DeBeers, Jake "the Milkman" Milliman and "The Thumper" Frankie DeFalco.

On May 3 2008 "HARDCORE GIANT" Ron Niemi brings his AWA Legends Jake "The Milkman" Milliman and Frankie DeFalco to Cordele, Georgia. Milliman and DeFalco have faced AWA and WWE superstars all over the world and have been the AWA World Tag Champions for a short time before being stripped of the titles by the AWA Board of Directors.

A few of Milliman's accomplishments include:

Milliman defeated Todd Becker at SuperClash IV on April 8 1990. However his most famous match was one with Col. DeBeers known as the "Great American Turkey Hunt". The match was part of the AWA Team Challenge Series where the wrestler who got a stuffed uncooked turkey off of the topof a pole first would win. In what was considered at the time a major upset Milliman took the turkey from DeBeers when the referee's back was turned and was declared the winner. Milliman also participated in the final match in the TCS. That match was a royal rumble-style battle royal featuring Brad Rheingans Col. DeBeers The Trooper The Destruction Crew (Mike Enos & Wayne Bloom) the Texas Hangmen and others.

Milliman again came away with the win by eliminating DeBeers at the end winning the Series and a $1,000,000.00 check for his team Larry's Legends.

Niemi has demanded a tag team match with his men against Tommy Rich and the "Gold Boy" Chic Donovan and the AWA has granted this match that will be billed as AWA Legends v. Georgia Legends.

Niemi declares that his men will destroy Rich and Donovan and after they do he will declare that old school southern wrestling is DEAD!

Bell time is 7:30 pm on May 3 2008 at the Crisp County Middle School Auditorium in Cordele Ga. Stay tuned as more matches will be announced soon.

PWS Majestic Mayhem Results & Response to Rumors
ProWrestlingSyndicate.com

Pro Wrestling Syndicate held its fourth live event, Majestic Mayhem on March 22 at The Yonkers PAL Building in Yonkers, NY in front of 448 paying fans.

* PWS originally booked Sabu, but received a call at 9 am saying he was still banged up & had missed his flight. He was still going to appear, but no flights would have brought in Sabu prior to 11:58 pm
* PWS contacted several other talents about appearing at the event, including former ECW Champion Steve Corino who was to be at the event as a surprise but pulled off after his wife fell ill.
* PWS ran a matchup between Sandman and Commissioner Necro Butcher, the first time ever.

The event opened with a Majestic 12 qualifying match between former Deep South standout Tommy Suede and international star Azrieal. Suede won to advance into the tournament.

Adam Flash came to the ring and issued a challenge to any PWS wrestler. A back conveyor door opened and in came a 2008 Yellow Lambourgini driven by Paul E Normus, along with Rocksha! Due to Rocksha's suspension, he was not allowed at ringside. Paul E Normus picked up the win.

Next began the Majestic 12 Tournament. This round consisted of three tag team matches (partners chosen at random) with the winners facing each other in singles action in Round 2.

ROUND ONE:
* Teddy Hart/Jack Evans defeated Trent Acid/Ruckus
* "M Dogg 20" Matt Cross/Devon Moore defeated Danny Demanto/Sonjay Dutt
* Jerry Lynn/Kenny Omega defeated Tommy Suede/Kevin Matthews

* Alexa Thatcher pinned Angelina Love

ROUND TWO:
* Jack Evans defeated Teddy Hart by countout in a 30 minute match up that had fans on their feet throughout and received chants including "this is awesome", "five star match", and "vince screwed up" amongst other things. Following, Hart shook hands with Evans and thanked the fans for their support. Teddy thanked PWS for 'having the balls' to put him and Jack against each other.
* Devon Moore defeated "M-Dogg 20" Matt Cross
* Kenny Omega defeated Jerry Lynn

* Commissioner Necro Butcher came into the ring and issued a challenge to The Sandman. Sandman defeated Necro Butcher.

FINALS:
A Three-Way match between Jack Evans, Devon Moore, and Kenny Omega. A few minutes into it, Omega injured his knee on the leg of a table, but continued on. Omega and Moore teamed up on Evans and locked in a double submission forcing Evans to tap. Commissioner Necro Butcher entered and said Evans was eliminated and restarted the match as a 1-on-1 between Moore and Omega. Due to Moore taking severe punishment earlier and Omega's injured knee, a superplex kept both wrestlers down for the 10 count for a double knock out. Commissioner Necro Butcher came out again, attempting to restart the match. But Moore escaped into the locker room. Omega issued an Iron Man Match challenge to Moore for the PWS Title at the next live event in May.

OTHER NOTES:
* Jim Powers and Romeo Roselli were on hands signing autographs. Ox Baker, being brought in by "M&J Autographs" was unable to attend due to a work conflict.
* Several wrestlers including Nunzio, Fred Sampson, and Grim Reefer attended the event.
* Despite reports, Jac Sabboth was not selling any bootleg merchandise at the event.

PWS's live event schedule for May will be announced this week, which will include MORE THAN ONE EVENT.

A capacity crowd of cheering and screaming fans filled the Shark River Hills Firehouse Hall on Saturday night March 22nd, as National Wrestling Superstars, in conjunction with Womens Superstars Uncensored, presented the 2008 Jersey J-Cup Women's Tournament, as seven of the best women wrestlers around competed for the coveted trophy, and in the process thrilled the fans to no end.

Before the first match, six of the participants (Mercedes Martinez, Princess Jana, Angel Orsini, Roxxie Cotton, Becky Bayless, and Rebecca Payne) came out to the ring as the trophy was shown to them and the crowd. It was announced that seven ladies would be competing, with three first round matches and one random lady would receive a bye to the second round. Becky Bayless seized the microphone and claimed to be the best wrestler of the group and deserving of the first-round bye. Commissioner Gino Moore came out and said that based on her actions the previous night in Bergenfield at the King And Queen Of The Ring Tournament, he was appointing a co-Commissioner for tonight, none other than the WWE's original diva Sunny. Sunny came out and announced that not only would Becky have to wrestle in the first round, she would be wrestling the missing mystery lady and should prepare for the worst beating of her life.

Bison Bravado defeated Corey Havoc in a bonus opening match. The two big men brawled all over the ring, but Bison finally put away Havoc with a tombstone piledriver.

In the first round of the tournament:

Rebecca Payne was randomly chosen to receive an automatic bye to the semifinal round.
Mercedes Martinez defeated Princess Jana. The two double-tough ladies put on a fierce battle all over the ring, each withstanding the other's best shots and submission moves, until Mercedes hit her corkscrew neckbreaker finisher on Jana and pinned her to advance.
Angel Orsini defeated Roxxie Cotton. Angel had little respect for Roxxie's abilities going in, but the petite shopaholic proved her status as a rising star, giving Angel all she could handle before Angel slapped on a vice grip submission hold and Roxxie tapped out.
Becky Bayless came out for her first round match against her mystery opponent. Out came Sunny, who introduced Becky to her good friend, and former top diva in both WWE and ECW, DAWN MARIE! As Becky threw a fit in the ring, Sunny announced that she would be in Dawn Marie's corner as her manager.
Becky Bayless defeated Dawn Marie by disqualification to advance in the tournament. Dawn Marie basically tore into Becky from the opening bell, pounding her with fists, kicks, and choke holds, with Sunny getting in a few shots herself for good measure. Becky did manage to mount some offense, but with Sunny giving Dawn a 2-on-1 advantage, it did not last long. After Dawn began choking Becky with a strap, the referee had enough and disqualified her, giving the victory to Becky. It took the efforts of both the referee and Sunny to pry Dawn away from Becky. Sunny told Dawn that, as co-Commissioner she had to admit that Dawn went to far, but after what Becky did to her last night, it was almost worth it.
Former WWE bad boy Salvatore Sincere defeated the former ECW Zombie. Sal came out claiming to have pictures showing Commissioner Gino Moore partying with Elliot Spitzer, hoping to embarass him, but the tables were turned when Gino reminded the audience why Sal's nickname was "Pinky". Through the crowd came Zombie, and Sal tried to hide behind NWS security as Zombie paraded around the ring wearing Sal's white hat and pink bola. Sal finally charged the ring and the bell rung. The two brawled in and out of the ring, using chairs, trash cans, and the ever-popular "Wet Floor" signs. When Zombie accidentally bumped the referee in his enthusiasm, Sal used the distraction to sneak a chain into the ring, decked Zombie with it, and covered him for the 1-2-3. Mikey Pacifica tried to come out to protest the decision, but J.D. Smoothie came out right behind him and the two started brawling in advance of their Strap Match later that night, while Zombie went after Sal some more, as security separated them.

In the semifinal round of the tournament:

Angel Orsini defeated Rebecca Payne to claim the first spot in the finals. Even having a bye in the first round was not enough for Payne to overcome Angel, who eventually fell victim to a corkscrew neckbreaker by Angel who got the 1-2-3 victory.
Mercedes Martinez defeated Becky Bayless to claim the other spot in the finals. The two women tore into each other from the bell with chops, kicks, punches, and a barrage of wrestling holds. Near the end, Becky seized the referee and used him as a shield to block one of Mercedes' kicks. While the referee was down in pain, Becky brought a screwdriver into the ring, but instead of hitting Mercedes with it, she tossed it to her and then lay down on the mat pretending to have been hit with it. The referee recovered, saw Mercedes holding the screwdriver over Becky lying on the mat, and called for the bell to disqualify Mercedes. Just then, co-Commissioner for the evening Sunny came out, and having seen what actually went down she ordered the match restarted and appointed herself as referee. A few seconds and a swinging neckbreaker later, Mercedes covered Becky and Sunny counted 1-2-3, giving Mercedes the victory and the spot in the finals.
Might Mikey Pacifica defeated J.D. Smoothie in a Shark River Strap Match to become the *NEW* NWS Cruiserweight Champion. Both men were attached to ends of a leather strap (Smoothie somewhat reluctantly), and had to touch all four corners of the ring in succession in order to win. As expected, the two men laid into each other with the strap, each *THWACK* echo'ing across the entire hall, as the fight spilled in and out of the ring. Both men attempted to touch the four corners on several occasions, but were thwarted. After suplexing Mikey off the top rope, Smoothie dragged him to each corner and touched each one, but failed to notice that Mikey was also touching each of the first three corners. As Smoothie approached the fourth and final corner, Mikey tripped him up with the strap, then leaped over Smoothie to touch the final corner to win the match. The crowd came to its feet to cheer their local hero as he was handed the NWS Cruiserweight Title.

Just then Salvatore Sincere came to his ring and announced that, as Smoothie's friend and advisor, he had helped Smoothie negotiate a contract for this match that allowed him to invoke his rematch clause at any time, and Smoothie wanted his right now. Commissioner Moore reluctantly agreed it was in the contract, and called for the bell.

J.D. Smoothie defeated Mighty Mikey Pacifica to regain the NWS Cruiserweight Title. An exhausted Mikey was doomed from the start, and it did not take long, as Smoothie immediately hit a backwards piledriver on Mikey and pinned him 1-2-3. As Smoothie and Sal celebrated, Commissioner Moore promised Mikey that he would get another title opportunity on a future Neptune area show.

Mercedes Martinez defeated Angel Orsini in the final match to become the 2008 Jersey J-Cup Women's Tournament Champion. Angel and Mercedes tore into each other before the bell was rung, taking the fight outside the ring and all around the hall for several minutes before the referee was finally able to get them back in the ring. The two women brawled for several more minutes in the ring, before a double underhook suplex by Mercedes put Angel down for the 1-2-3 and the victory. Sunny presented Mercedes with the trophy as the entire locker room came to the ring to congratulate Mercedes.

NWS holds its annual show in Tower City, PA show on Saturday April 5th. NWS returns to action in the tri-state area with a double-shot weekend on Friday night April 11th in Carteret, NJ, and on Saturday April 12th in Atco, NJ.

3/23/2008 - Majestic Mayhem results, injuries, a response to internet marks, and more
Pro Wrestling Syndicate held its fourth live event, Majestic Mayhem last night March 22 at The Yonkers PAL Building in Yonkers, NY in front of 448 paying fans. One of the main events advertised for the event was Sabu vs Sandman. PWS received a phone call (shoot) from Sabu around 9am saying that he was feeling badly banged up and would not be able to make it to his flight. Sabu let us know that he would still try to make the event by taking a later flight however as the day carried on there were no available flights that would have gotten Sabu into any of the area airports prior to 11:58pm. At that point, PWS contacted several other talents about appearing at the event however all were either booked elsewhere or out of the area. To be honest, former ECW Champion Steve Corino was confirmed to be at the event as a surprise but pulled off last minute because his wife was sick (shoot). Apparently some people feel that PWS "false advertised", but we did not. Sabu was booked. He was hurt. Even while hurt, he attempted to make the event. PWS was probably more upset than anyone that he was unable to attend. PWS ran with the match up between Sandman and Commissioner Necro Butcher, which was a first time ever singles matchup.

Moving along
The event opened with a Majestic 12 qualifying match between former Deep South standout Tommy Suede and international star Azrieal. Suede won the match and advanced into the tournament.
Up next, Adam Flash came into the ring and issued an open challenge to any wrestler in the PWS locker room. As those words were uttered, a back conveyor door opened and out came a 2008 yellow lambourgini driven towards the ring by Paul E Normus and Rocksha! Due to Rocksha's suspension in PWS, he was not allowed at ringside. Paul E Normus picked up the win over Adam Flash.
Next began the opening round of the Majestic 12 Tournament. This round consisted of three tag team matches (partners chosen at random) with the winners advancing to face off against each other in singles action in Round 2.
Round 1 action saw:
Teddy Hart/Jack Evans defeated Trent Acid/Ruckus
"M Dogg 20" Matt Cross/Devon Moore defeated Danny Demanto/Sonjay Dutt
Jerry Lynn/Kenny Omega defeated Tommy Suede/Kevin Matthews

Alexa Thatcher pinned Angelina Love
Jack Evans defeated Teddy Hart by countout in a roughly 30 minute match up that had fans on their feet throughout and received chants including "this is awesome", "five star match", and "vince screwed up" amongst other things. Following the matchup Teddy Hart shook hands with Jack Evans and thanked the fans for their support. Teddy thanked PWS for 'having the balls' to put him and Jack against each other and took shots at a couple of other wrestling companies for not doing so.
Devon Moore defeated "M-Dogg 20" Matt Cross
Kenny Omega defeated Jerry Lynn
Commissioner Necro Butcher came into the ring and issued a challenge to The Sandman. Sandman defeated Necro Butcher.
The Majestic 12 Tournament finals was a three way match up between Jack Evans, Devon Moore, and Kenny Omega. A few minutes into this matchup, Omega injured his knee on the leg of a table, but continued on in the match. Omega and Moore doubled up on Evans and locked in a double submission forcing Evans to tap out. Commissioner Necro Butcher entered and said that Jack was eliminated from the match and restarted the match as a singles matchup between Devon and Kenny. Due to Moore taking severe punishment earlier in the night and Omega's injured knee, a superplex kept both Moore and Omega down for the 10 count. This resulted in a double knock out. Commissioner Necro Butcher came out again and attempted to restart the matchup but Devon Moore escaped into the locker room. Omega issued an Iron Man Match challenge to Moore for the PWS Title at the next live event in May.

Other notes; Jim Powers and Romeo Roselli were on hands signing autographs. Ox Baker who was being brought into the event by "M&J Autographs" was unable to attend the event because he could not get off of work. Several wrestlers including Nunzio, Fred Sampson, and Grim Reefer attended the event. Despite internet reports, Jac Sabboth was not selling any bootleg merchandise at the event.
PWS live event schedule for May will be announced this week.

Hope all is well. I have a few things going on that I wanted to share with everyone. I am attending the women's wrestlecon in San Diego on April 11 to April 14. I'm very excited about wrestlecon because I will be working for new companies and seeing some good friends from Sleeperkid's World. If anyone is interested in having a custom match with one of the girls from wrestlecon, please email me and I will see if I can set something up.

In addition, I have two exciting matches coming up in April. On April 5, I will be wrestling Sumie in Atlanta, and later that evening I will be wrestling for NWA in Lebanon, TN.

I hope everyone is having a great 2008!
