As part of the first televised Diva Search, Hemme quickly became the crowd favorite with her willingness to do crazy things for the entertainment of the audience such as sitting in pie and doing interesting things with ice-cream. The competition wound down to Christy Hemme and Carmella in the final. It was obvious the WWE had their hopes set on Carmella, but Christy Hemme's energetic attitude scored her a landslide. Her undeniable popular victory earning her a WWE contract and $250,000. As the Diva Search winner, Christy Hemme was thrown into the fire quickly as the newest RAW Diva. While she was on TV being a Diva, she was learning how to wrestle behind the scenes. Under the instruction of Dave "Fit" Finlay and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, Christy learned the basics to go on to take on Trish Stratus at WrestleMania 21. Around the same time, Christy Hemme posed for Playboy magazine. The magazine shoot was one of the highest selling of 2005 and Christy was voted the #2 best wrestling Diva in Playboy history. Christy's in ring work would imrpove as time went by and the WWE would send her to OVW at times to work on those skills. She would feud with Melina and MNM in the fall of 2005 having quality matches along side the new Legion of Doom featuring Hidenreich and Road Warrior Animal. In December of 2005, Christy Hemme was surprisingly released from her WWE contract. Many rumors, at that time, insinuated that she was intimate with Batista and/or Triple H and somehow that got her in hot water. These stories were all denied by Christy and have absolutely no factual evidence behind them. Nevertheless, the rumors were there. In between her WWE and TNA runs, Christy made an appearance in the Lingerie Bowl which aired during the half time of the NFL Superbowl on pay-per-view. In April of 2006, Christy Hemme made her TNA Wrestling debut. Christy was used in an announcing role to hype the upcoming events while she continued to train close to her Los Angeles home. She has since returned to a wrestling compacity and also valets for TNA talent. In addition to wrestling, Christy Hemme has acted on her interest in music performing in her own rock band called Hemme. The band tours mostly California doing their own blend of hard rock.
