RICKY "THE DRAGON" STEAMBOAT

On what he's doing now: Ricky now owns a body shop in North Carolina. Also related to cars, his son Richie loves racing cars and is doing really well at it.

On comparing Ric Flair and Randy Savage: Ricky says that both matches are amongst his favorite. He leans towards the Flair match more but many more people approach him to discuss the WrestleMania III match than his Flair matches. He says Flair was a go with the flow kind of match. Savage was quite the opposite having notebooks filled out with the sequence of moves that would become this legendary match. Very different approaches, and yet both came out great.

On rematches of those two: Ricky says he would have liked to have wrestled Ric Flair in WWE but he was leaving just as Flair was coming in. Ironically the same thing happened in WCW with "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Just as Savage was coming in, Ricky suffered his back injury so there was no rematch in a different company there either.

On working with TNA: Ricky says he enjoyed working with TNA. He wished it had lasted longer but they ran into money problems. He was especially interested in working heel there but it never panned all the way out. He says no wrestler has ever gone their whole career without working heel except him. He says Sting started as a heel and had that 1999 stint where he was again. "Hollywood" Hogan was Hogan's heel run... Ricky would have liked to have had a crack at it.
