"B2" Barry "Bull" Buchaman

Submitted By James Walsh on 12/01/05
Buchanan, a 7 year veteran in the WWE, was released from the  ompany via mutual concent in the first quarter of  003, along with other superstars Raven, Justin Credible and D'Lo Brown.

In our 25+ minute interview,  uchanan speaks out on issues such as his time as a South African, a Prison Officer, a Censor and a Rapper. After serving four of the most unique gimmicks ever  nvented in WWE, Bull had a lot to say on every single one, from Vince disbanding RTC, to working with The Jackyl Don Callis and Kurrgan.

BULL BUCHANAN

-- Bull talks about who trained him, and breaking into
the federation, getting his name out to Indy feds

-- Talks about training with a lot of guys such a New
Jack in Atlanta.

-- Bull's first real break was at Smokey Mountain, working
alongside Al Snow and Glen 'Kane' Jacobs.

-- The Rock and Barry signed their contract on the same
day. Creative had no idea what they were going to do with them.

-- On the topic of his gimmicks, Bull preferred the Prison
Guard gimmick. It was 'as close to being him' as WWE got. The  urthest away from being himself was being the South African in the Truth Commission gimmick.

-- On the topic of Kurrgan and Don Callis, Barry admired
Don's work and said that Kurrgan "played his role" well.

-- Barry talks about liking Hip-Hop music, enjoying the
B2 gimmick with John Cena. He then gives his views on Cena's future in the business.

-- Randy Orton and Cena would rap in the showers, and
that's how the gimmick came about - Randy Orton is also a good rapper!

-- Bull knows that when it all boils down to it, he was
cut for economics. He spent 7 of the best years of his life there, he knows that Cornette, Ross and even Vince "went to bat" for him, but it all boils down to economics.

-- When WCW went under and Vince bought it, Bull feels
that it hurt the business.

-- On the topic of his immediate future and a possibly
route to Japan, Bull says he's spoken to Zero One and had some third party talks with Japan. In addition, TNA would be a very viable option because it's so close to home.

-- Himself, D'Lo, Justin, Raven all being released wasn't a mistake. It's an opportunity for the wrestlers, and an opportunity for another promotion.

-- The next portion of the interview is a Word Association
game, with names such as Vince Russo, Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon cropping up.

-- Bull shares an interesting story about the first time
wrestling in his RTC ring attire with the Godfather, where his tie nearly cut off his breathing supply.

-- The RTC group came from the theory of "people are
trying to censor [Vince], so I'll censor myself". The group ended because it had "run out of steam".

-- The creative had ideas for everybody to go off from
RTC into new groups, but it concurred with the purchase of WCW, so it didn't
all materialize.

-- The interview finishes on some ideas as to what Bull
would and wouldn't do, if he was on a booking committee for WWE, saying about the business that "it's like a fast car, you cant drive it wide open all the time, some time its got to come down". Bull then wraps up with a message
to his fans.
