There really is nothing like a good rocker chick. In
Goldy, you get a girl that can belt out a fairly good rock song and looks
good doing it!
This is a biographical interview with the blond bombshell, Goldylocks! And,
at the end of it all, we have posted, with permission, a sample of her
record!
GOLDYLOCKS
-- Goldy loved wrestling growing up. She watched it with
her grandmother and taught her to appreciate the story telling and now she
feels she is helping them tell the stories.
-- She loved Ric Flair, Ivan Putski, and a lot of the stars of the Vern Gagne
territory (AWA.)
-- TNA wanted to bring in someone that "knew nothing" to be an interviewer.
They wanted a sarcastic woman that is good looking to do it so she got the
job.
-- She never was the "hot model chick." She did a lot of "fun loving school
girl" roles in commercials and did some comedy. She branched out into music.
-- The Dupps were actually fun to work with. She feels a lot of people
misunderstood them and felt their gimmick was done by Vince Russo but Russo
didn't write their sketches. She found it funny that people bashed it as
"Vince Russo stuff."
-- She didn't really care for the lesbian angle. She doesn't like that it
never was resolved. "I guess to this day I'm still a lesbian. If you remember,
the last thing was I grabbed her ass."
-- She loves interviewing multiple people. She feels they are the most fun
to interview but she also enjoys interviewing the Sandman because he suddenly
pops up to be the director backstage. She says Sandman and D-Lo Brown offer
the most support and feedback. New Jack is fun as well.
-- Puppet was "whacked out and nuts" but she enjoyed interviewing him.
-- She would like to be a wrestler but she is not one. She gets angry when
people think it requires no skill. She is insulted by people that just get
in the ring and "dick around." She wants to get in a brawl but she says she
will leave the wrestling to the wrestlers.
-- The Internet reacted Luke warm to the cell phone segment that aired on
the 5/21 edition of TNA. She doesn't know how the segment was set up but
she was under the impression that the segment was to show that she doesn't
always stay calm. It was supposed to be a glimpse at her "personal life."
The segment was actually her audition tape when she got in TNA a year ago.
-- Goldy is currently working on a comedy show with Trinity. The segment
is a good example of what she is working on with Trinity. She was approached
to do a show where she can do something like an Andy Dick show.
-- She feels Trinity is an awesome person. She has a lot of college degrees
that compliment Goldy's style so she was the perfect fit for the show. They
are recording comedy segments that may result in a show. The concept is to
be the first female duo to do Tom Green or Trigger Happy TV style comedy.
She hopes to get segments from the show aired on TNA to help promote it.
-- Her music is changing as time progresses. She said she started with one
style and now is getting into hard rock.
-- She doesn't feel any anger towards pop acts like Britney Spears but is
jealous because they choose songs out of a catalog instead of writing it
herself. But, she doesn't fault them for that.
-- She writes her own music. She says she doesn't know what religion everyone
follows but she knows that all the words she writes for her songs do not
come from her.
-- Her CD is not available in stores yet though she has some things recorded.
She wants to fine tune what she has recorded and find a label to take it.
She teases the record industry being challenged by computers.
-- She opened for Pink once but "I'm doing rock now." She would like to open
for KISS, Metallica, or 3 Doors Down. She is looking forward to the
KISS/Aerosmith tour this summer.
-- She isn't sure how she feels about Napster and programs like it. She feels
it is cool that people can listen to different styles of music but she also
feels that it is a bit of an insult to the performer to download an album
and make a CD of it instead of going to the store and buying it. She feels
if you buy the CD, you should have the right to burn a few copies but she
isn't too keen on burning them without a purchase.
-- Goldy plays the strip in Las Angeles, where she currently lives, very
often including a date over the weekend.
-- More information about Goldy's many projects can be found at Goldylocks.com.
-- Plus, the ever popular "word associations" with names like Sandman,
Christopher Daniels, Puppet, Erik Watts, & Trinity!
