MCW: THE SANDMAN & NEW MATCHES ANNOUNCED‏

OFFICIAL MARYLAND CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING PRESS RELEASE

www.marylandwrestling.com

THE HARDCORE ICON COMES TO MARYLAND CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING

The Cane-Swingin’, beer drinking, ECW Original, Hardcore Icon, THE SANDMAN will appear and wrestle at MCW MONSTER MASH, Sunday, November 4th, 2007, at the MCW Arena at Northpoint in Dundalk, MD. Tickets are available now, online at marylandwrestling.com, at ticket outlets (listed below), and will be available at the door.

Sandman, a 15-year veteran, has held the ECW World Heavyweight Championship five times, and the ECW World Tag Team Championship (with 2 Cold Scorpio).

More details about The Sandman’s appearance will come in future updates on www.marylandwrestling.com.

2 NEW MATCHES ANNOUNCED

MCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Former 3-time WWE World Tag Team Champion & current MCW Heavyweight Champion JOEY “MERCURY” MATTHEWS defends against former 5-time MCW Heavyweight Champion THE BRUISER.

-----And-----

#1 CONTENDER’S MATCH – MCW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

Former 3-time MCW Champion ADAM FLASH vs. Former MCW Tag Team & Cruiserweight Champion CHRISTIAN YORK

For the last several weeks, frustration has been building in the camp of Creative Control, following the devastating loss in the rematch for Adam Flash, and his quest to regain the MCW Heavyweight Championship from Joey Matthews at MCW KICKOFF CHAOS this past September. With no titles in their camp, Kimberley McDevitt & Tom Brandi have begun to question just how much power they really have. According to Kimberley McDevitt, it is inexcusable to not have any championships in their stable.

"Adam's failure to regain the title, was just a minor setback, and we will deal with Flash's failure later," said Kimberley McDevitt. "We control this company, and we control that championship. Matthews' time is over! And at MONSTER MASH, that belt will be back with Creative Control, and back with the 5-time champion, The Bruiser. We picked The Bruiser to face Matthews for one simple reason.....Joey has never pinned The Bruiser. And on November 4th in Dundalk, don't look for Matthews to change that stat. At the end of the night, the best ring announcer in the biz, Joel Oresky, will announce the winner, and now 6-time MCW Heavyweight Champion, THE BRUISER!!!!"

Bruiser & Joey Matthews do have a history. Back in September 2002, then-champion Bruiser lost to Matthews via DQ. A No-DQ, Falls-Count-Anywhere rematch was ordered, and took place that December at Michael's Eighth Avenue. In a wild brawl that saw action all over the building, Bruiser defeated Matthews, as Matthews passed out while caught in the Bruise-mission. Will we see a repeat occurrence at MONSTER MASH? Bruiser thinks so.

"Joey can't beat me! He never has, and he never will!" says Bruiser. "I will do what Adam Flash couldn't do, and that is defeat Joey Matthews, again. Regain my title. And once again, take my place as the greatest MCW Heavyweight Champion of all time. 6-time champion after November 4th. No one is even close to matching that."

But what about Adam Flash? Instead of allowing the man who held the MCW Heavyweight Championship for one year, to face the champion, Tom Brandi announced that Flash will have to prove himself again. "Flash will have to prove that he deserves to represent Creative Control as it’s champion. Prove to us that when happened to him at SHAMROCK CUP VII & KICKOFF CHAOS was a fluke. Ms. McDevitt & I are exercising our "creative control" to make Adam Flash face Joey Matthews' best friend, Christian York, in a #1 contender's match. Flash needs to prove to us that he can get the job done. And once he defeats York, he will get another shot at the title. That is, if Bruiser doesn't take the title first."

It seems that Creative Control has all of it’s' bases cover. If they execute their plan correctly, they will walk out of MONSTER MASH with the MCW Heavyweight Championship, the #1 contender's spot, or both.

In addition to The Sandman, appearing will be:

Current MCW Cruiserweight Champion DEREK FRAZIER

2007 MCW Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup Winner JOSH DANIELS

And more.

History Made In Hawaii On Saturday Night
Hawai'i Championship Wrestling
SATURDAY NITE SLAM! Wahiawa, Hawai'i

Don't even tell anyone they are too old to achieve something because you might be surprised. And surprise is one of the many adjectives that can be used by not only the main event of the Hawaii Championship Wrestling event on Saturday night, but the whole show.

An enthuastic crowd in Hawaii not only witnessed AWA, SUN, and HCW stars but they witnessed history as 74 year old Mr. Wrestling II came out of retirement and teamed with the man that he christened Mr. Wrestling 3 to defeat the monster team of Manu Samoa to become the new HCW tag team champions!

Just before the main event, the hated Mr. Oki came out to the crowd and announced that even though The King Of Old School Steve Corino made it to Hawaii, he was under strict orders from ZERO1-MAX's Yoshiyuki Nakamura not to allow the Hawaii Wrestling Commission to grant his license that night but fans that attended the show mentioned that they saw a slight resemblance between Mr. Wrestling 3 and Steve Corino. Are they one and the same? Corino says no. We caught up with him at the Waikiki Marriott in Hawaii this morning to comment.

"Nakamura is supposed to be my friend but I knew this was coming. I might not have been there as Steve Corino but Hawaii fans now that I was there in spirit and I congratulate Mr. Wrestling 3 on his debut and Mr. Wrestling II one a historical achievement."

After the title win, Mr. Wrestling 3 and II talked with the press and Wrestling 3 talked about what his plans are for the future and even asked Wrestling II if they could challenge for the AWA World tag team championships held by The Heartbreak Express. Wrestling II laughed it off saying "I can't believe you convinced me to do this match but I showed the world that those kids can't be too cocky. Manu Samoa is going to have a long career and if I showed them one thing it is to be humble."

Wrestling 3 added "The Pride Of The Mask is very important to me and I was honored that Mr. Wrestling II chose me to live on the tradition. It is now time for me to continue the legacy of this mask and make more history. My main goal is to come back to my new home of Hawai'i and defend this titles and also put out a challenge to Ricky Landell for the ZERO1-MAX United States championship. The negative tide of pro-wrestling is about to change and Mr. Wrestling 3 is going to lead the charge!"

Other great matches included AWA Apex's Brian Logan returning to Hawaii and losing a very close bout with Hawaiian Inter-Island champion Big Daddy Frank. Logan used all of his old school rulebreaking ways but he just couldn't put the big man down. I don't think we have seen the last of Logan in HCW.

Also it is rare to see one great womens matches but HCW produced TWO on Saturday night first with SUN's HIKARU defeating the massive Tsunami in a loser-leaves-wrestling contest. And then Tracy Taylor, fresh off a very successful tour of Japan defeated AWA Japan women's champion Saki Maemura in a match where the loser had to clean toilets! You have to see these matches!

HCW Kamehameha Heritage World Heavyweight champion Micah, "The Chosen One"defended his championship in a exciting contest with Sean Christain. This back and forth match could have went either way until Micah scored the victory with his Lights Out curb stomp.

"Mr. HCW / Family Entertainment" Kaimana won a 3 way match with Ma Hu Wong and Tilo Vasaga in a strange way. The ever popular star actually put his feet on the rope for leverage. There has to be more to come about this devolping story.

And in the opener, Ahuna pinned Mike Tracy.

Another great HCW event. Visit 808HCW.com and the new MrWrestling3.com opening soon!

[A HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION WILL BE CROWNED!]

- BWO Southern State Officials have announced that a BWO Southern State Heavyweight Champion _WILL_ be decided on this evening! It is also known that four men will be battling for the belt! The four men have been decided and they are:

* "Dirty" Don Montoya
* Reckless Youth
* "Latin Terror" Anhell Gonzales
* Hightstown's Own "Modern Day Enforcer" Eric Cooper

These four men met at the debut show in an epic tag team match, and BWO Southern State officials decided based off of that match that these are the four men they want to battle for the top prize. It is not known who will square off against who, but it will be a one night four man tournament with two first round matches, then the winners facing in the main event of the evening!

[BWO SOUTHERN STATE PHOENIX CHAMPIONSHIP WILL ALSO BE CROWNED!]

- BWO Southern State officials have also added a second title, known as The BWO Southern State Phoenix Championship. How is the Phoenix division going to be different from the rest? Very Simple. Here is a small list of rules that the Phoenix Division will follow:

* 15 minute time Limit for _ALL_ Phoenix Championship & Phoenix division matches!
* If a winner is not decided in that 15 minutes, then there will be a 1 minute rest period, followed by a 5 minute sudden death round. If there is not a winner in that sudden death period, the match will then be declared a draw!
* The Phoenix Championship and Phoenix Division matches will not be decided based on Disqualification and/or Count-outs. It will be decided based on Pin-fall/Submission/Knock-out/Referee's stoppage!

The Phoenix division is going to bring the sports aspect that Professional Wrestling is most known for. The Phoenix Championship will be crowned in an Elimination Style Fatal Four Way. It is not known who the four men will be, but officials did release the first two names:

"Canadian Shooter" Tommy Force w/ JADEN
Vinny 'The Fixxer' Rosa

These two men both left the debut show victorious, and for their efforts were placed into this match. Officials will announce the final two men in the next week or two.

[CRUISER-WEIGHT MADNESS!]

BWO Southern State Officials wanted to also take it to the air on this evening and have gone out and signed another four way dance. This one however has different rules:

* One fall to a finish
* No Tags are necessary like in other Fatal Four Ways

This match promises to be high-flying and extremely action packed! Also whoever wins this match will be in a definite line for a future BWO Southern State Phoenix title shot! The four men in this match will be:

"Puerto Rican Prodigy" Chrono Chris
versus
1/2 of Pretty Fly - "Pretty Boy" Eric Hiller
versus
"CK" Corey Kastle
versus
1/2 of Pretty Fly - Kekoa 'The Flyin Hawaiin'!

[ALSO SET TO APPEAR ON THIS EVENING..]

Making his Southern State debut: Rockin' Rebel, "Lone Wolf" Evan Myers, Richie Rotten & Chaos, Draven Blaze, Steve 'The Jerk' Off "Da Remix of Pro Wrestling" Vince Steele, One in a Million, "Dangerous" Danny Danger and more TBA!

We received a note from Pat Rose just before the weekend that his wife Lisa had been diagnosed with melanoma, but we didn’t want to report anything until their visit with physicians on Monday. In a message we received from Lisa, she got a good report, as it appears they caught it early. However, she still has to undergo some minor surgery for doctors to be certain it has not reached the lymph nodes. We will keep you posted as we get updated. In the meantime, please keep them in your thoughts.

VPW 10/12/07 Results & Full Recap Including New VPW Champion‏

VPW 10/12/07 Official Results & Notes

“The Glory of the Gold”

Everyone at VPW would like to thank all of the fans who came out to the show last night in Centereach, New York.

Just as the ring announcer was welcoming everyone to the show, Nick Noshus stormed the ring. Noshus made it clear that he was furious about being excluded from the title tournament despite remaining undefeated in VPW. He then began to insult “Firebird” Jorge Santi, his scheduled opponent for later in the night. Santi quickly ran out and a confrontation ensued.

Mack Daddy Flexx defeated “Masculine Marvel” Sabotage in the first match of the night, which was also a first-round match in the championship tournament. Despite Sabotage’s weasel-like tactics, Flexx was able to defeat his conniving opponent.

In one of the more intense matches of the night, Javi-Air defeated “The Good Guy” Azrieal. These two top cruiserweights had action in the ring, in the air and all around the ringside area. At one point Azrieal got frustrated and tried to head to the back for a time-out, but Javi-Air literally dragged Azrieal back to the ring. This was the second first-round match.

“The Best Body In The Business” Jason Static defeated Richie Tyler by submission to advance to the next round of the tournament. Some people have been referring to Static as the “Best Bully In The Business” because he’s been trying to bully Richie Tyler around all year.

Picking up right where the show opened, next up was Nick Noshus taking on “Firebird” Jorge Santi. Noshus was victorious for the second straight show, thanks once again to underhanded tactics. After the match was over, Noshus boasted that he could do it again at the next VPW event. Determined to defeat his rival, Santi eagerly accepted.

At this point in the show, Grim Reefer was still not at the building due to transportation problems. Several people overhead “Ultra Sexy” Joe So Delicious and “Masculine Marvel” Sabotage laughing about how Grim Reefer was never going to make it to the show thanks to some “car trouble.” Grim Reefer was scheduled to take on Joe So Delicious in a first-round tournament match. VPW Officials made the call to give Grim Reefer more time to get to the show due to the important nature of the event. The alternative would have been to grant Joe So Delicious an automatic advancement into the next round.

A big six-man grudge tag team match came next. This match saw Xandar Page and Jay Delta, collectively known as Eclipse, teaming up with fellow member of “The Crew,” Joey Everlast to take on JMS and VSK, collectively known as Livewired, and their partner for the night, Nightmare. Of course Jack O’Hearts accompanied his men to the ring, but right off the bat, something seemed different about Jack O’Hearts. Despite telling the fans that he now had the best haircut that money could buy, he was actually wearing a wig to cover up his shaved head, which he received courtesy of Richie Tyler at the last VPW event. Fellow Crew member, Johnny Suburban also accompanied his guys to the ring. Having more experience as a unit, The Crew were able to successfully defeat their opponents.

Growing impatient, Joe So Delicious and Sabotage made their way down to the ring after the prior match. Delicious told the fans that there was no way that Grim Reefer was making it to the building, so he should automatically advance to the next round. Don Tony even came out in the aisle-way claiming he didn’t know where Grim Reefer was. While this was going on, Reefer came through the building’s front door, put down his bags and hopped over the rail into the ring. He immediately removed Sabotage from the equation and then went to work on Joe So Delicious. Don Tony tossed Sabotage over his shoulder and brought him to the back. Despite just arriving and despite wrestling in his street clothes, Grim Reefer was successful in defeating the much larger Joe So Delicious and therefore advanced to the next round of the tournament.

Moving along to the second round of the tournament, Jason Static was victorious against his long-time nemesis, Mack Daddy Flexx. Up until this match, Flexx was undefeated in VPW and surely a favorite to go home with the gold. Static had two aces up his sleeve as an insurance policy to make sure that he made it to the finals. Those aces were Sabotage and Joe So Delicious, his partners in “Best Bodies, Inc.” Just as Flexx was on his way to victory, Delicious and Sabotage ran down and distracted him. Flexx got his shots in, but the distraction was just enough to give Jason Static the opportunity he needed to secure the win.

The next match was the second second-round match in the VPW championship tournament. With not much time to rest following his first-round match, Grim Reefer was successful in defeating Javi-Air. The VPW fans were torn in this very close match since both wrestlers are huge fan-favorites.

Following that was the Jerry Fitzwater Show. As usual, Fitzwater sang his way to the ring. His guests were “Prince of Suburbia” Johnny Suburban and Jack O’Hearts. Fitzwater was intrigued by O’Hearts newest “hairstyle.” He even found what looked to be his car keys swallowed Jack O’Hearts’ “hair.” Despite losing to Richie Tyler at the last show, Suburban bragged that he could defeat anybody in the locker room and that everyone back there was dead. Maybe he should have chosen his words a bit more carefully because that brought out the Zombie and led to an impromptu match. The Zombie chased Suburban around like a maniac and eventually overpowered Suburban for the win. Zombie then took it upon himself to chase Jack O’Hearts all over the building and eventually pulled of the eccentric wig that O’Hearts had on.

Then came the grudge tag team match which saw Scotty Rio and Mr. Professional of VTG Enterprises defeat Major Intencity and Chopsaw. Vinny the Guido was extra pleased that his unit was successful. After incurring several losses, he assured his guys that since they were all on the same page now, nothing could stop them. This match had been building for months. Major Intencity defeated Scotty Rio twice in a row in singles matches and Chopsaw pinned Mr. Professional in an elimination match at the last event. Intencity and Chopsaw had the fans behind them, but it wasn’t enough. Vinny the Guido was correct in his prediction, as he cracked Major Intencity in the head with a chain while the referee was busy dealing with Chopsaw and Professional on the outside.

Finally up was the final round of the tournament to find out who would be the first ever VPW Champion. Grim Reefer and Jason Static have been feuding with each other on and off since September 2006. Going into this match, both men held victories over the other in singles matches. Both men went through some of VPW’s best and had hard-fought matches all night long. Static tried to gain the early advantage by having his buddies Joe So Delicious and Sabotage accompany him to the ring, but they were immediately informed that if they interfered or stayed at ringside, they would be fired on the spot. During the match, Static started waiving to the back for them to help, but nobody came out. He then walked towards the curtain and tried again, but he didn’t get the response that he desired. Instead, Static got the Zombie. Much like the last show, Zombie stalked Static at ringside. However this time, security was able to step in. It looked like Grim Reefer had the match won, but in the end, it was Jason Static that was victorious. Of course, like everything he does, Static broke the rules and held Reefer’s rights while he pinned him. Following the match, Joe So Delicious and Sabotage ran out to celebrate as Static was presented with the VPW Championship. Angry that the referee did not see Static hold his tights, Reefer assaulted the referee. Best Bodies, Inc. remained at Ringside to celebrate, much to the disappointment of the fans.

VPW will return to action in Centereach on Saturday night December 1, 2007. The original date of November 30, 2007 was changed due to a scheduling conflict with the building. VPW’s 2008 schedule will be announced shortly.

Stay tuned to www.victoryprowrestling.com for all things VPW. The site is under a true overhaul, but will be completed shortly.
