– According to Wrestling Observer Live, Vince McMahon is said to be “freaking out” over the recent drop in ratings for Raw and Smackdown. Both shows have suffered signficant drops lately with Raw hitting the lowest viewership numbers in years, while Smackdown has been hovering just above (and once below) the two-million mark for non-holiday shows the first time.

It is worth noting, however, that the site also noted that McMahon’s reaction tends to be the same at the start of each fall as football and the new TV season returns. However, the ratings have been on a general slide, with this September’s numbers down around half a million from the same time last year. This is usually when WWE does something big to try and shake things up.
