Update on GFW Jarrett, Patron, Crash, AAA, Rey Mysterio Mess

It had been previously reported that Jeff Jarrett vs. Alberto El Patron was in the plans for Bound for Glory. According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the match was going to originally be set up with an angle at TripleMania, which would have then aired on Impact. But Alberto was not at TripleMania due to his own issues with AAA that weren’t resolved. The feud would have seen Jarrett teased against Alberto, trying to build an angle around Alberto’s suspension where he’d blame Jarrett for suspending him. This would have led to the announced match at Bound for Glory, with it being a swerve and Rey Mysterio stepping in for Jarrett to face Patron. This fell through as negotiations between GFW and Mysterio are no longer taking place and are considered dead.

Mysterio is now working with the CRASH in Mexico, and there are now issues with GFW & The CRASH. One issue between then was that the Crash was heavily promoting Bobby Lashley and getting all his papers in order for a show in Tijuana, only to have GFW replace him with James Storm at the last minute. Another issue had to do with Jarrett, who had had agreed to lose his hair to Mysterio at a big show for them in Tijuana later this year. But after shooting the angle, the next day with no warning, Jarrett announced the GFW deal with AAA and ended up working TripleMania.
