Michael Elgin Apologizes to Jeff Cobb For Hateful Remarks

The end of 2018 was not a good time for Michael Elgin. Elgin lost several 2018 bookings following allegations of sexual assault against a former student. Elgin sold his Glory Pro company after a woman accused Sean Orlans of sexual assault and said Elgin tried to discredit her story and cover the allegations up while publicly supporting her. Elgin also got heat during this time for private messages that were leaked, where he ran down NJPW World Tag League partner Jeff Cobb.

Elgin issued the following apology (via prowrestlingsheet.com)

I made some comments about Jeff Cobb that were unacceptable. At the time of this conversation I had a lot going on and took it out on Jeff Cobb unfairly. Not only is he a great performer, he is one of the nicest and most kind hearted people Ive ever met in my career.Ive spoken to him and other colleagues directly and hope they accepted my apology. He deserves praise for his performance and he is a true asset to any company hes involved in, I truly hope he becomes a big part of NJPW this year.
