Witness Comments on 2006 Vince McMahon Sexual Assault Allegations

A man who says he witnessed the aftermath of Vince McMahonís alleged attempted sexual assault of a woman in 2006 has commented on the claims. Deadspin has an article discussing the claims, which Daily Beast ran a story on couple of weeks ago.

The man, William Robert Wells, was listed in the police report as a witness and spoke with the site. He said he was working at a Papa Johnís when the alleged victim ďcame in crying, and we knew it was Vince McMahon walking out, and she asked me if it would be fine if I came in the store until the cops came.Ē He said that he obliged the womanís request to bring a baseball bat, noting, ďI donít know what a baseball batís gonna do to someone like this, but OK, I said Iíll bring one with me because hey, Iím only 17 years old at the time.Ē

Wells said that McMahon stared at them from his car for ďa good 45 minutesĒ and left before the police showed up. He said that the police ďdidnít really want to talk to me, honestly, and thatís probably why thereís not a lot of the statementĒ because he didnít witness the actual incident.

No charges were filed due to a lack of evidence, and McMahon denied the allegations.
