According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, New Japan doctors believe it will be nine to 12 months before Hiromu Takahashi can return. The report states that “the belief is that he suffered a broken neck,” but that has not been made public. There are no signs of nerve damage, and the hope is that Takahashi will be able to start training in six months. They haven’t announced anything about the junior heavyweight title, but that will likely come following the conclusion of the G1 Climax.
