Monday Night Football Spanks WWE RAW in the Ratings

Raw continued to feel the heat of the new fall season and the NFL, falling to a new low in the ratings. Monday’s episode scored a 0.76 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic and 2.302 million viewers. Those numbers are down 7% and 2% from last week’s 0.82 demo rating and 2.350 million viewers.

While the data is incomplete due to pre-2014 reports only focusing on the largely-irrelevant “household” rating, Raw does have its lowest rating of the modern era, and what may be its lowest rating ever, beating out the 0.77 from May 28th of this year. Viewership was similarly a new low, beating last week’s 2.350 million for the nadir to date.

Raw ranked #6 among cable originals for the night per Showbuzz Daily. Monday Night Football lead the way on ESPN (4.63 demo rating, 13.214 million viewers), followed by the MNF kickoff show (1.77/5.449 million), the post-game SportsCenter (1.54/3.741 million), the pre-kickoff Monday Night Countdown (0.98/2.915 million) and VH-1’s Love & Hip-Hop (0.87/1.739). The hourly numbers for Raw were:

8 PM: 0.78 demo rating (2.5 million viewers)
9 PM: 0.76 demo rating (2.325 million viewers)
10 PM: 0.75 demo rating (2.081 million viewers)
