Joe Hendry Signs with WWE

In September of 2025, it was reported by SI.com that Joe Hendry was going to be phased out of TNA programming and the expectation was that he would be WWE-bound on a full-time basis by the beginning of 2026.

In an update on Hendry, Fightful.com is reporting that he has officially signed a contract with WWE. Shawn Michaels was reportedly trying to bring in Hendry despite Hendry still having months left on his TNA deal. Hendry was said to have used representation to help facilitate the transition to WWE.

In recent days, fans have speculated about Hendry potentially being a mystery entrant in John Cena’s “Last Time is Now” tournament. Hendry is scheduled to team up with Thea Hail against Ethan Page and Chelsea Green on the November 18th “Gold Rush” edition of NXT.
