During a recent an interview with Brandon Walker for Rasslin’ (via WrestlingInc.com), Adam Cole spoke on being recognized as one of the nicest and most genuine people in wrestling:
Adam Cole on the respect he’s earned in the business: “Of course, you want to leave a legacy of having an incredible career, winning world championships, traveling the globe, getting to wrestle on television, and those are all things that I absolutely still want to continue to achieve. But when I think of a legacy, there’s no better one to have than people respecting you as a person, whether it be the audience or your peers and the people that you work with. It means the world to me.”
On being beloved by fans now after being a heel most of his career: “For over ten years I was a real piece of garbage. I guess I got that out. During matches, that’s when I got all my aggression and anger out, and then I tried to be nice to everybody after that.”
