A former WWE star has pitched a reunion with their former onscreen partner, ahead of the upcoming Royal Rumble 2025 premium live event.

One of the best aspects of Royal Rumble events are the surprises, with several stars often using the 30-person matches to make one-off returns.

One star who did this was Summer Rae, who entered the 2022 Royal Rumble match and was eliminated by Natalya after just 52 seconds.

Speaking on Knockouts and 3 Counts, Summer Rae noted that she wants to see Johnny Dango Curtis (fka Fandango, Dirty Dango) return in the Royal Rumble.

Pitching a reunion, Summer Rae said:

“I’ll tell you who I’m ready to get the call for the Royal Rumble that hasn’t yet is Fandango, because I’ma be right there, and we need that to come back because for me to be in the boys’ Royal Rumble and to be ringside and maybe have a spot, that’s so exciting and two, I would a trillion percent do a second round with Dango.

“I love Curt, he’s so great. Seen him recently. He looks amazing. He’s doing really well. I think he’s engaged. Things are, you know, kayfabe (she laughed). It’s great with him so, we need a little Fandango reunion because it’s over.”

Summer Rae notably made her WWE main roster debut as Fandango’s dance partner and valet.

Fandango, now Johnny Dango Curtis (JDC), currently wrestles for TNA Wrestling, which currently has a partnership with WWE, with a number of stars appearing on NXT.
