According to an article on Deadline.com, WWE star John Cena’s TBS show Wipeout is being canceled once the remaining episodes have aired. Jason Sarlanis, President of TNT, TBS, TruTV, ID & HLN, Linear and Streaming at Warner Bros. Discovery, said the following…

“Wipeout is inherently comedic and a joy to watch. But I think what we’re what we’re looking at is being realistic in terms of the entire environment. We have to recalibrate.”

Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted that the cancellation decision was made after the January 26th 2025 show drew 211,000 viewers with an 0.04 in the 18-49 demo. Meltzer noted the following…

“The show debuted in 2021 doing 1,060,000 viewers and an 0.33 in 18-49. The first season averaged 772,000 viewers and this current season is at 250,000. It’s notable [AEW] Collision on Saturday when it goes against WWE, which is fairly often, does in that range although Collision does better with younger viewers and expectations for Saturday with all the sports are far lower than Sunday, which is the best night of the week for cable entertainment programming outside of football.”
