TNA Wrestler Announces His Departure From The Company
Last December, Alex Hammerstone was meant to team with Jake Something against Sami Callihan/PCO and the Rascalz in a three-way tag at TNA’s Final Resolution. However, he was unfortunately unable to compete due to a knee injury that required surgery. And while he would return to the company to put over Joe Hendry last month, he has now announced on X his time with TNA is over, and he is officially a free agent.

It’s understood that over the years, 34-year-old Hammerstone has attended three WWE tryouts but was unsuccessful each time, with MLW owner Court Bauer previously claiming that the company always thought he looked too similar to Triple H to employ. Yet, thanks to TNA’s working relationship with WWE, he has since competed in an NXT ring against Oba Femi and Tony D’Angelo. Therefore, it will now be interesting to see if WWE shows any interest in bringing him in, given his unexpected availability.
