In 2024, London, England mayor Sadiq Khan met with Paul “Triple H” Levesque and WWE president Nick Khan at London’s City Hall to discuss a potential WrestleMania event in the city. While speaking to The Daily Star in January of 2025, a spokesperson for the Mayor of London expressed interest in WrestleMania potentially taking place in the city.

While speaking to CNBC’s Tania Bryer, Khan commented on London’s interest in WrestleMania…

“If WrestleMania came to London, my message to the team there is that we wouldn’t just have a great weekend, we’d have a festival, of you know, legends in WrestleMania coming to London, current stars, but also future stars as a well. It will open a completely new market for them as well.”

“I think the potential has not been reached in terms of WrestleMania. We are the sporting capital in my view, of the world. And if WrestleMania wants to expand, the obvious place to come is London.”
