Many WWE fans were surprised to discover that Tamina Snuka remains under contract with the company despite not wrestling in more than three years.

Speculation about Tamina’s WWE future first surfaced in 2024 after reports indicated that she had been removed from the active roster. It was later clarified that while she is still signed to WWE, she is not assigned to any brand and does not appear on the company’s internal roster listings.

The revelation caught many fans off guard, especially since Tamina’s profile is still featured among WWE’s active Superstars on WWE.com. Her most recent match took place on the February 27, 2023, edition of WWE Main Event, where she was defeated by Michin. Since then, she has remained out of in-ring action for more than three years.

News of her contract status quickly sparked discussion across social media, with many fans expressing surprise that the former Women’s Tag Team Champion is still with the company despite her lengthy absence.

Tamina is also a former nine-time WWE 24/7 Champion, giving her a total of 10 championship reigns in WWE.

Many fans pointed to her famous wrestling lineage as a possible reason she has remained under contract. Tamina is the daughter of the late Jimmy Snuka, while her mother, Sharon, connects her to the legendary Anoa’i family. That makes her a cousin of several of WWE’s biggest stars, including The Rock, Roman Reigns, The Usos, and Nia Jax.
