Dawn Marie began in ECW in 1998 as a valet for Lance Storm, later working with Justin Credible during their two ECW World Tag Team Championship reigns. She signed with WWE after ECW closed in 2001 and appeared on SmackDown from 2002, first as Vince McMahon's legal assistant and later in a storyline involving Torrie Wilson and her father, Al Wilson.
She left WWE in 2005 and retired from wrestling in 2012. She makes appearances at conventions and signings.
