It is indeed bizarre. I’ve had maybe 2 or 3 incidents like this in 40-something years of promoting. Ric Flair was the one prior to this, and that was 17 years ago. The Mid-Atlantic Legends Fanfest was this past weekend and it sounds like JCW Lunacy star Kerry Morton, son of Ricky Morton, might have not been on his best behavior. At least, not according to the promoter.
The promoter, as seen below, reports that Kerry Morton went on a profanity latent tirade as the Rock and Roll Express were signing autographs. He encouraged the WWE Hall of Fame tag team to leave but they didn't.
The trouble seems to have started when Kerry took 75 8x10 photos of himself from the signing without consulting the promoter. The promoter confronted Kerry on it, he says, and Morton was not pleased.
It remains to be seen what kind of lasting issue this could cause. But, it seems to be the first crack in what has been a pretty prestine record that Kerry Morton has kept since joining pro wrestling several years ago.
