Road Warrior Doomsday cage match: Randy Savage & Hulk Hogan def. Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Taskmaster, Lex Luger, Meng, Barbarian, Za Gangsta, The Ultimate Solution A note on Uncensored 1996 from David Gaworecki: Details- There are no details. I almost cried after thinking about the booking for this event. The Doomsday cage match was interesting, but quite possibly the worst match I have ever seen. I have a question. Do you remember that Flair and Anderson were eliminated, but they came back and still fought? What happened to Meng and The Barbarian after they were eliminated, did they just forget to come back? Somebody should have informed Eric Bischoff that a Chicago Street Fight does not last 30 minutes. However, the only bright spot on the card was the Lord Steven Regal/Belfast Bruiser match. I was in pain just watching those two slap each other. |

Ray Misterio Jr. Team nWo def. Team WCW and Team Piper If WCW won: nWo would return ALL belts to WCW If nWo won: They could challenge WCW for a title anytime If Piper won: Piper would get a cage match with Hogan Order of elimination (entry number in paranthesis): (1.) The Giant [Team WCW] (by Scott Hall, over top rope) (2.) Jeff Jarrett [Team Piper] (by Kevin Nash, over top rope) (3.) Steve McMichael [Team Piper] (by Scott Hall, over top rope) (3.) Scott Steiner [Team WCW] (by Kevin Nash, over top rope) (4.) Roddy Piper [Team Piper] (by Hogan & Rodman, over top rope) (1.) Chris Benoit [Team Piper] (by Hall & Nash, over top rope) (2.) Randy Savage [Team nWo] (by Lex Luger, submission) (3.) Kevin Nash [Team nWo] (by Lex Luger, over top rope) (1.) Scott Hall [Team nWo] (by Lex Luger, submission) (2.) Lex Luger [Team WCW] (by Hollywood Hogan, pinfall) Winner: Hollywood Hogan [Team nWo], to give nWo the win. Giant, Hall, and Benoit first. Basically, Benoit and Hall took turns fighting the Giant for the first five minutes. Except for the first five seconds, Benoit and Hall didn't fight each other at all. Surprisingly enough, Hall broke up the Giant pinning Benoit after a choke slam. Toward the end of the first five minutes, the Giant charged Hall in the corner. Hall ducked and the Giant went over the top onto the floor and was the first man to be eliminated. That was a shocker! Jarrett, Savage, and Luger came out next. Before anyone else was eliminated, Mongo, Nash, and Steiner came out next. Kevin Nash clotheslined Jeff Jarrett over the top rope to eliminate Jarrett. Scott Hall reversed a piledriver to back body drop Mongo over the top rope to eliminate him. Piper came in. Scott Steiner was tossed over the top rope to be eliminated. Hall did it. Hogan and Rodman came out with Rodman carrying the heavyweight belt. Hogan took his time coming out and stayed outside the ring and didn't get involved. Note, no fourth man for WCW ever came out. Crowd started chanting "We want Sting!" Piper pulled a chain out of his tights to choke Hogan Hogan eliminated Piper over the top rope when Rodman pulled the top rope down such that Piper went over it. Hall and Nash tossed Benoit over the top to eliminate him after the Outsider's edge. Piper's team is eliminated! That means WCW or nWo must win. At this point, it's Luger against the entire nWo team. Luger mounted a comeback. Luger racked Savage and made him against the entire nWo team. Luger mounted a comeback. Luger racked Savage and made him submit. Luger then threw Nash over the top rope on the floor to eliminate Nash. Luger racked Hall and made him submit. With Nash distracting the referee, Rodman handed Savage the can of spray paint. While Luger had Hogan in the rack, Savage ran back in the ring and sprayed paint in Luger's eyes. Hogan fell on top of Luger for the pinfall. The nWo wins! |
