TEDDY
HART
-- Teddy is sad
about his grandfather's passing and misses him everyday. He feels only Stu
and Vince McMahon can claim to have been as impactful in any sport as they
were to wrestling. He feels it is up to himself and Bret to promote the best
wrestling on Earth.
--
Teddy thanks Rob Feinstein for giving him the opportunity in Ring of Honor.
He says that there were several wrestlers backstage that had prior heat with
Teddy at the Ring of Honor show. He wouldn't say their name but he feels
he is above "shit talking."
--
Teddy feels the cage match had absolutely no psychology but the incident
that took place was after the match. During the match, Joel Maximo dropped
Teddy on his head causing him a concussion. Teddy says he has no recollection
of the moves after the match, but says he did a moonsault off the top of
the cage to the concrete floor and landed on the "130 pound Mexican." He
then went back up and did a shooting star press off the top of the cage into
the ring, a move never done before in the history of wrestling, and the crowd
went crazy chanting his name. He says what bothers him about the incident
is the move was never put over on the Internet. Instead, the "boys" went
on the Internet and reported that Teddy did something not planned and made
a bigger deal of it than it was. He feels the same fans that went nuts for
it when it happened now hate it because they are "smarks" and the boys had
to tell them it wasn't planned and that it was bad and not that Teddy gave
a little extra show at the end of the match.
--
The three other teams in that match all have asked Teddy if he is okay and
all believe that he had a concussion. He feels if you don't believe the apology,
"Screw you too then."
--
Backstage, Steve Corino's girl was there. "I don't know what her name was.
She looked like a street hooker to me. I'm being nice calling her a street
hooker. She looked HORRIBLE!" Teddy says she made a remark about one of his
friends being a "piece of shit or fag or something really nasty" and then
Samoa Joe got into it and told his friend to "get the hell to the back."
Teddy's friend, who he doesn't name, stood up to Samoa Joe and Teddy ran
over to break up the fight. Teddy says that Samoa told him that since he
put his hands on Samoa Joe, he was going to kill Teddy. Samoa also called
himself the King of the Locker Room.
--
Another roomer on the net was that Teddy disrespected Jim Cornette Teddy
shoots it down instantly saying Jim Cornette is one of his favorites and
that whenever Jim talks, he listens.
--
He feels it must be one of the boys who leaked a lot of the information and
posted it him or herself because none of the fans were backstage to have
seen it. He feels the people doing it are doing so because they have no business
in wrestling in the first place because they aren't any good at it.
--
Ted doesn't care if Samoa Joe hears what he said because he is fearless and
isn't afraid of anybody. If Samoa Joe kills him, he kills him. "So be
it."
--
There were rumors going around that Teddy decked a fan at a recent show.
It isn't true. There was a guy going to a training school in the crowd and
he wanted to be a part of the show so he approached Teddy and the fans dad
grabbed his son and maybe it looked like Teddy shoved him but it wasn't the
case. The fan wanted Teddy to strike him but Teddy wouldn't play
along.
--
Teddy performs for the fans. He does everything for the fans benefit and
to maybe make kids have wrestling on the menu in their future. He feels he
is what a wrestler should be. If it were a competitive sport like Hockey,
none of the guys that complained would have made the cut.
--
He mentions that most fans don't know what psychology is. So, if all people
want to do is trash talk him, he doesn't care because it all is publicity
for him.
--
"Steve Corino is a jabrone. I saw him in the dojo in the WWF. He stunk then,
he's worse now." He also says that Corino did nothing backstage himself and
had Samoa Joe do all his dirty work for him.
--
CM Punk said nothing to Teddy. Teddy says he was too busy "trying to score
pot backstage." Because of that, he finds it hysterical that "Puke" tried
to say Teddy was doing the things that "Puke" was doing to "cover his tracks."
He adds, "Why is he in the business anyway? Because he's a rip off of
Raven?"
--
The four page essay that "Puke" released on Teddy Hart was ridiculous and
he feels he should have better things to do. Teddy hasn't been inspired to
write something that long about anybody that influenced his life, be it Stu
Hart, Elvis Presley, Tupac (ugh), Bret, or anybody. So, thinking that "Puke"
cared enough to write something that long "making sure to spell check every
line" was flattering.
--
Teddy says that everyone knows the wrestling business has been good to his
family and as a result his family enjoys reasonable wealth. he offers Steve
Corino and "CM Puke" the opportunity to take advantage of that wealth and
accept a first class plane ticket to Calgary for a real life shoot fight
and invites Rob Feinstein to come along to film a "shoot interview" after
the shoot fight with Corino and "Puke" after they've had their jaws broken.
--
The offer is only for those involved in the situation. He says to contact
David Penzer and they will be glad to set it up for him. He adds that you'll
enjoy first class service the entire time but may be sent home in a body
bag.
--
Another incident he wanted to discuss was a confrontation between he and
AJ Styles. Teddy is very fond of AJ Styles. He flew him up for the Stu Hart
Birthday wrestling event where Teddy faced Sabu and wanted AJ to be involved
in Mat Rats. The incident that is being talked about is that AJ confronted
Teddy about doing certain moves since they do share some common moves so
out of respect, AJ asked that Teddy not do a move. One of the moves that
AJ asked Teddy not to do was a "Spinal Tap." Teddy ended up doing the move
because he didn't know that is what AJ calls it and AJ has never spoken to
him since.
--
He offers a similar challenge to AJ Styles for a wrestling match to entertain
the fans, not a fight. He wants to work AJ because he thinks they could really
excite the fans together but appreciates AJ for not going around and worrying
about Teddy Hart and just letting their misunderstanding go.
--
Teddy says that Corino and CM Punk look like "pan handling bums" and need
to hit the gym and quit hitting the McDonalds and start coming up with new
moves instead of typing dirt sheets on the Internet.
--
Teddy encourages every fan to go to RFVideo.com and pick up the tape of the
Elizabeth, New Jersey show so they can see the incident for themselves and
judge what is being called the most controversial independent wrestling incident
in the past 3 years.
We
then go into our recap for the Teddy interview which lasts about 20 minutes.
During this, James challenges the fans of MLW to tell the company how "ass
backwards" it is to eliminate the former ECW stars from their roster using
Francine and Jerry Lynn as examples. He encourages the fans to email MLW.com
and post on their forums to make sure Jerry, Francine, and all other talent
that have been cut since MLW's near death experience are brought back.
We
then join a second recap segment being joined by Gabe from Ring of Honor
to give us his take on the Teddy Hart incident and the state of ROH.
Gabe
Sapolsky (Ring of Honor Booker):
--
Gabe joins The Interactive Interview for a good 15 minute segment to discuss
what happened with Teddy. Gabe feels that Teddy put himself over the company
in what he did and took the "ROH" chants that were going on before he did
those spots and turned them into "Teddy" chants which did not help the company
at all.
--
The locker room will not allow Teddy back so there is no chance of Teddy
having any immediate future with Ring of Honor.
--
Gabe only watches WWE TV when Paul Heyman is on. Otherwise, he just sleeps
through it because it doesn't interest him at all.
--
Gabe met Rob Feinstein in college and, believe it or not, bought a tape from
him then.
--
One of Gabe's fondest memory of Ring of Honor thus far is the first show
with Low Ki and Christopher Daniels.
--
Working with ECW was fun until the end. The final show was hard to be at
because everyone knew it was the last show even though Tommy Dreamer tried
to rally the troops, as always.
--
There is a chance Roddy will not only appear for Ring of Honor at Wrestlemania
weekend, but also wrestle for them.
Plus
so much more with Gabe!
